EdelBack in 1990, against the unusual backdrop of the soccer World Cup, The Three Tenors shattered the illusion of the traditional image of the typical stuffy “opera singer”, with their banter and (cheesy jokes), never taking themselves too seriously despite the phenomenal combined years of experience at the pinnacle of their profession.
Previous to this, Ellen’s Stardust Diner in New York had already blurred the barrier between “dinner” and “entertainment”, as the waiting staff burst into spontaneous song (indeed, like our guys, many of the “Ellen’s” staff are much better singers than waiters!)
Many thousands of visitors to the castles of County Clare have enjoyed the musical programme as much as the fine fare at their mediaeval banquets for over 50 years!
The Singing Waiters Ireland are talented singers posing as “real” waiters or chefs at your event or wedding. Then suddenly they unleash a dynamic vocal performance.
These performers disguise themselves as waiting staff, blending in with the actual staff. They perform a short skit which culminates in their breaking into song and surprising the unsuspecting audience with some upbeat and light-hearted entertainment.
Singing Waiters Ireland format typically includes performers dressed as any number of service staff. This can include firemen, security guards, chefs, medical personnel and often even guests incognito appearing and breaking disguise on cue.
We have designed the show’s high energy performance of 20 to 30 minutes, for best effect during the dining element of events or weddings. Our format has diversified over the years and expanded to present the performance at whatever stage of an event best suits you.
If you are out for dinner and you hear an unexpected announcement, or the manager is flirting outrageously with the bridesmaids ask yourself, “are the Irish Singing Waiters here?” If they are, you know that they are about to kick off a fantastic and fun party.

Once you have confirmed our availability, use our online booking facility to secure your date. Your can secure your date with a booking fee and booking form. we will acknowledge both of these on receipt.
Singers for Hire Singing waiters Ireland arrange bookings up to three years in advance.
We require a booking fee to secure a booking. While the performance fee is payable prior to the function date. If you make a booking within one month of the event we require full payment to secure the Singers.
If you want a particular song performed for your wedding entertainment or event we will try our best to accommodate you. But please let us know well in advance. We can tailor the show format to a certain extent depending on your individual requirements. Because we want you to enjoy the best possible night’s entertainment, we ask you to trust our experience. Consequently, Singing Waiters Ireland can promise the best possible show for your guests.
Your Irish singing waiters will arrive at the latest one and a half hours before your guests sit to eat. Then as discreetly as possible, they will set up their PA equipment in the banqueting hall. Afterwards they will carry out a sound check in the performance space.
If possible, we would appreciate a changing (and hiding) room for the performers. We are always grateful for the use of appropriate waistcoats, ties etc. to complete the illusion if the venue has a specific uniform. Therefore, by the time the guests sit down, the performers look exactly like all the other waiting staff.
Although disguised as service staff from the venue, the performers are actors, not waiters. They will not enter food preparation areas or compromise the venue’s professional service. Please note: Our performance is not a “Wacky Waiters” show in any way. The performers do not trip up or spill drinks or food. They will not interfere with service in any way.
For best effect, the show normally commences once the last main meal has been served and the majority of guests have finished eating. The performance evolves into a dynamic performance featuring hits from Elvis to Verdi. Finally the singing waiters reveal their true identities.
Surprise dinner shows last between 20 and 30 minutes. longer after dinner performances of 40 minutes and full evening shows are also produced by Singers for Hire Ireland
Performers move between the tables throughout the show, often at high speeds and with bright lights in their eyes. The unexpected presence of a real waiter with an armload of plates would not only ruin the look of the show, but would be a health and safety hazard. Accordingly it is best to suspend service during the singing waiters show.
We make sure your guests are having an incredible time, so that they will want an encore. Then, we give them one! We build an encore into every show.
Even if you have experienced us before, to be at a dinner where your waiter, or the person sitting next to you bursts out into a stunning serenade is always breath taking and entrancing.

And all this is just the overture as soon the whole room are up in a conga while singing “Show me the Way to Amarillo” and swaying to the tune of “Que Sera Sera”.
